Ending Poverty Class – Rogers Park

November 20 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every week that begins at 6:30 pm on Wednesday, repeating until November 20, 2019

What are the consequences of wrongly diagnosing the causes of poverty in a community? Is it possible to help the poor in a way that leaves them worse off then before you helped them? What does the Gospel have to say about the violence and poverty we see in our city?  Attend UR Chicago’s Impact Poverty Class as we take a critical look at our baseline assumption about poverty and the strategies we’ve historically used to address it. Individuals will work through the Helping Without Hurting video series in a 4 week class facilitated by UR Chicago Alliance.  Class is held at Northside Tabernacle of Praise, 2447 W Granville Ave, Chicago, IL 60659 . There is paid parking on Western and the church is about two block west.

You can call Scott Parker with any questions (773) 936-7825.
