Impact Poverty (Helping without Hurting) – Willow Creek North Shore

June 3, 2019 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

What are the consequences of wrongly diagnosing the causes of poverty in a community? Is it possible to help the poor in a way that leaves them worse off then before you helped them? What does the Gospel have to say about the violence and poverty we see in our city?  Attend UR Chicago’s Impact Poverty Class as we take a critical look at our baseline assumption about poverty and the strategies we’ve historically used to address it. Individuals will work through the Helping Without Hurting video series in a 6 week class facilitated by UR Chicago Alliance. URCA is Christ centered workforce development program that Willow Creek North Shore helped pilot in Rogers Park.
