It starts with prayer. It ends with prayer. Prayer connects us with God and with each other. The prayer Jesus taught was corporate prayer:
“This, then, is how you should pray:
The prayer Jesus taught was about God’s agenda:
“Your kingdom come, your will be done”
And it was daily: “Give us today our daily bread.”
UR Chicago Alliance is committed to daily corporate prayer in our city and in our neighborhood and are always looking to partner with churches and organizations to start regular corporate prayer at their locations.
Currently, we are part of two major prayer initiatives. One is The Northside Church’s Response to Murder. We have committed to gather at the scene of every Northside murder and pray God’s forgiveness and healing on the the land. This is based on the scripture in Deuteronomy 21:1-9: Atonement for an Unsolved Murder.
The other initiative is through Chicagoland United in Prayer, an organization that works to bring the church of Chicagoland together in prayer and service to our city.
Below are the current Northside prayer rhythms for Chicagoland United In Prayer. We encourage everyone in the UR Chicago Alliance to find a time and location that works for you and to join us in prayer.
Below are traditional “Rhythms of Prayer”. All of which have been moved to virtual gatherings due to the CO-vid 19 pandemic. Feel free to email us below for ways to connect around prayer!
